Brother
The relationship of a brother-sister or a brother-brother is the sibling relationship which is full of unconditional love. Generally, this relation is such that the idea of giving a gift to each other is more or less linked with the festival season and the feeling of affection brought in by the parents. This gifting ritual is inculcated in children for their brother from childhood. But this feeling can vary depending upon the closeness to the brother since cousins are also brothers, and as one grows up the relationship with cousin brother becomes more distant.
When it comes to knowing the taste of the brother it’s not very difficult since the process of growing up together familiarizes the sibling of each others taste and choices. The monetary aspect of the gift is not limited by its cost, since love for the brother usually dominates the costing of the gift. It is however easier for the male sibling to choose the gift for the brother because of the same sex factor. And for cousins the expenditure and taste of gift can depend largely on the depth of the relation.

- Gadgets like electronic items such as home theatre system, ipods, gaming devices, computer, laptop, music system etc. but these gifts are for the immediate sibling and are generally not given to cousins. These gifts can be great as a wedding gift as they are household items as well, and can be utilized by the wife too.
- Compact discs of favorite movie’s or music etc. can also be gifted.
- Clothes, shoes, wallets, watches and other wearable items can also be gifted. Holiday packages for a traveler are a good gift and if the package involves the entire family then it’s an amazing surprise. For a newly married brother a trip package can be used for the honeymoon.
- If the purchase of a new car or house is the reason to gift then cash to do up a room or to refurbish the car is an excellent gift.
- Books are also good gifts but seem very minimalist for a close relative such as a sibling. Probably they can be gifted as a souvenir for no particular occasion.
